carry over

People who carry over vacation time to the next year are nuts. Why on earth would you NOT use time that you've earned? If a company is willing to pay ME to not come to work you better believe I'm taking them up on the offer. In fact, I still have 10 hours of sick/personal time accrued and I've already decided that next Thursday is going to be my mental health day. I'm not carrying anything over to the new year except my laundry. Cheers.

Americans are pretty silly when it comes to working in general. I don't the average American realizes that the average European works less than 40 hours a week, and gets 3-4 weeks of vacation time a year. Fun times.

where I work, they made a new rule because some people were going over their time. they said that you could go as much as 5 days in the hole past your vacation time and it would all get taken out of your last paycheck of the year. so basically they said that we could buy an additional week off per year.

so I'm with you. not only do I use all my time off, I buy more. I'm all about getting away.

So I noticed that this "posting" has gotten the most comments so far. So, I'm wondering, is this a case where you say the most by saying nothing at all?
